Alabama Certified Public Manager Program: The Alabama Certified Public Manager (CPM) program is a comprehensive, management training program to develop and enhance the skills of public managers in Alabama. Managers completing the program receive official certification recognized by the National Certified Public Manager Consortium.
The Alabama CPM program provides courses and skill-development activities major areas that are critical to effective management, including strategic management, leadership, decision-making, communication, and employment law. Participants in the CPM program join a national network of professionals, gain awareness of new developments in the practice of public administration, and benefit from innovation through the application of new ideas and techniques.

Iowa Certified Public Manager Program: The State of Iowa Department of Administrative Services, Human Resources Enterprise (DAS-HRE) and Drake University have partnered to offer a Certified Public Manager Program (CPM) for Iowa. This unique learning experience consists of 300 contact hours of instruction taking place over 17 months. The program is designed for public sector professionals in Iowa built on the direction established in the Governor's Leadership Agenda and Iowa Excellence Initiative.

Massachusetts CPM Program: The Massachusetts’s certified public manager program is being developed at Northeastern University to meet the state’s practical needs for successful public management. Guided by the standards of the National Certified Public Manager Consortium, the program will be designed in close consultation with seasoned public managers. As of March, 2006, the National CPM Consortium has granted associate membership to Massachusetts under the leadership of the city of Boston. Northeastern University’s Division of Adult and Continuing Education and the Master of Public Administration Program are working to develop and deliver the CPM Program to meet the needs of Massachusetts’s public managers and the standards of the Consortium.

professional development services to public and not-for-profit managers in the ethical values and technical competencies associated with
outstanding public service. The Program is offered by Texas State University's William P. Hobby Center for Public Service in cooperation
with university based partners around the State of Texas.
