Historical Documents

Any discussion of government leadership and management, sooner or later, makes reference to various historical documents.  While we cannot present the comprehensive set of all such documents here, our objective is to present or link to some of the key materials that our site visitors might wish to reference.  While this site is focused on state and local government, discussion of American state and local government inevitably reference various national, or federal government materials.

Documents such as the Declaration of Independence, the Federalist Papers, and the US Constitution are only some of the foundation materials that any state and local government leader should be familiar with or wish to reference from time to time.  Thus, the purpose of this section is to provide the reference documents that state and local government leaders might need, or references that will help them find the documents when needed.
