About the Society
The DC Society of Certified Public Managers is the Washington, DC metropolitan area's association of graduates from the region's Certified Public Manager programs. The Society is a nonprofit, educational organization dedicated to improving public managers and, in turn, public services, by helping Certified Public Managers (CPMs) to continue their education, network, and collaborate to solve common problems facing public managers at all levels of government. Although composed primarily of state and local government managers, the Society is open to all government managers and leaders. The Society is also the regional affiliate of the American Academy of Certified Public Managers (AACPM), the national umbrella organization that ties together local CPM Societies from the more than two dozen government-university partnerships that currently award CPM Certifications.
